and commencing till 8th March 2014 through their unique annual initiative "AANGAN" - this would be a platform for women to express and celebrate womanhood wrapped with creativity at its best.

India Kids Fashion Week 2014

After a successful start in 2012, Asia’s largest kids fashion show returned bigger and better! Event Capital, a division of the Laqshya Media Group, and Craft World Events joined hands to present an all new, exciting season of India Kids Fashion Week (IKFW) between 18^th and 19th January, 2014. The event, which took place at The Lalit, Mumbai featured the best on India’s fashion circuit.

Day 1 kick-started with the spokespersons of India Kids Fashion Week, Mr. Pankaj Khanna Senior Vice-President, Event Capital and Mr. Manoj Mahla, Director of CraftWorld Events Pvt addressing the press along with fitness and wellness expert Mickey Mehta and renowned designer, Archana Kochhar on the concept for the two-day fashion extravaganza.

The first show of the second edition was organized by the well known NGO, Khushi.  Mandira Bedi walked the ramp for Khushi, supporting the cause of empowering children with learning disabilities, cerebral palsy and autism. This was followed by fashion partner Max displaying their creations in lightweight fabrics and vibrant hues of bubblegum pink, ochre, spearmint blue an vermillion. The Libero Diapers show was a total delight for the audience with little toddlers strutting around the ramp proudly in diapers and bibs. Designer Rocky S and Pogo’s Star Chota Bheem were also seen cheering on and completely supporting his designer duo Pooja Jhunjhunwala and Rachana as they showcased their mythology-inspired collection for children.

Dubai-based designer Sarah showcased her label ShoSho Bella which included outfits that made kids feel like little princesses. Ace choreographer Terrence Lewis shook a leg with the kids on the ramp. Kirti Rathore showcased her polo inspired collection and was accompanied by Vivek Oberoi, Angad Hasija and Rajeev Paul.

The finale began with designer Mansi Kapadia showcasing Indian wear for kids for the brand Sheetal. Daughter's Dream World by Kanchan Bawa showcased a blend of Indian, western and indo-western party wear range for our little princesses.

Kidswear label Beebay whose collection was supported by young and talented actor Darsheel Safari, was all about fun and colours. Sumit Dasgupta, the self-made talented fashion designer showcased a collection inspired by Maa Durga. Television stars Karan Tacker, Krystle Dsouza and Sangeeta Ghosh walked the ramp for Sumit Dasgupta. OKS Boys attracted positive attention through eclectic beach-wear, rockstar and casualwear. Renowned designer Nishka Lulla showcased travel collection for children on the runway. She associated with PETA to promote its humane education programme- ‘Compassionate Citizen’.  Nishka’s runway collection was opened by model and actress Sarah Jane Dias and closed by hearthrob Neil Nitin Mukesh.

The event featured an incredible runway show with a variety of looks. Little cuties took to the stage backed by old school tracks for a playful and fun atmosphere.  India Kids Fashion Week ended successfully with the right mix of innocence and fashion.
